Ottawa Co. deputies hunting for Holland shooter

HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The search is on for a gunman on the loose after shots were fired near his parents' home in Holland Township Friday night.

The incident started at around 7:30 in the 2800 block of 132nd Avenue.

Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to the area on a disturbance complaint involving weapons.

According to deputies, the 42-year-old man was fighting with his parents when he grabbed a gun and took off.

Deputies say he shot outside the home near the intersection of 132nd and Pine Oak Drive.

Several shots hit the home, but no one was injured.

The man then ran from the area, prompting deputies to set up a perimeter.

The search continued throughout the morning hours with no luck finding the gunman.

Ottawa County is still investigating the situation.
