Alert neighbor helps nab would-be burglar
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An alert neighbor on Pinto Road helped Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Deputies capture a would-be burglar.
Deputies responded to an address on Pinto, where a neighbor reported a strange subject in the area.
The caller reportedly thought something might be wrong and that his neighbor's house may have been broken into.
It turns out, the caller was right.
The caller stayed on the line with deputies in dispatch, and gave a description and locations of the subject in question, which helped a deputy on the scene locate and catch him several streets away.
All stolen property was recovered and returned to the victim, who was not home at the time of the burglary.
The suspect has been reported to be a 22-year-old man from Allendale.
He is currently awaiting arraignment.
