Battle Creek police identify source of mystery valentine
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Battle Creek Police have solved the case of the mystery valentine.
The day before Valentine's Day, a stranger handed a student a card through the fence which read, "You are different and that's why I love you."
The student did not know the man.
Police have since learned that he's a veteran who lives at an adult foster care facility near the school.
The school put together valentines for veterans and gave him one.
Police say he made his own, walked to the school, and handed it to one of the students.
The man has a clean record, and police say it appears he had no ill intentions.
