GREENVILLE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Greenville PTO Treasurer is in hot water after being accused of misusing funds.
MLive is reporting that 34-year-old Laura Outen was formally charged with embezzlement and forgery on Friday.
She is the treasurer for the Walnut Hills Elementary PTO.
The PTO sent a letter to parents in January, alerting them of a potential issue with the funds.
According to reports, more than $12,000 is missing.
Police are still investigating.
