Police identify woman killed while crossing road
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have identified the WMU student who died over the weekend after she was hit by a car.
Police say 22-year-old Breeanna Kay Dixit died early Sunday morning. She was walking across West Michigan Avenue at Emajean Street when a car hit her.
She died at the scene.
Dixit is originally from St. Claire Shores on the east side of the state.
Police are still investigating the crash, but they say the driver who hit the woman was not speeding and had not been drinking.
