Library re-opens after bed bug treatment
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – There is an update on the bug bed situation in Kalamazoo Public Libraries.
The Washington Square Branch of the library is set to reopen Friday.
It had been closed for the last few days so it could be treated for bed bugs after the insects were discovered in the bindings of a couple books in the return bin.
Meanwhile, the children's room at the main library downtown is now being closed until the 19th, for the same issue.
Pest control experts say they're seeing an increase of bed bugs in places outside the home such as libraries, office buildings and vehicles.
