Palisades shut down again
COVERT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - More trouble along the lakeshore this weekend, as the problem-plagued Palisades Nuclear Plant is offline again.
This time, it's for repairs to the plant's cooling water heat exchanger system.
The plant has had repeated safety issues and shutdowns, but regulators have said that people who live in the area are not in any danger.
Once the needed repairs are made, Palisades will be returned to service.
