Allegan woman killed in crash
ALMENA TOWNSHIP, Mich (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan State Police are releasing new information about a deadly crash Thursday night in Van Buren County.
Troopers from the Paw Paw Post responded to a two car accident on M-43 near Fish Hatchery road in Almena Township.
According to investigators a Chevy Lumina was westbound on M-43 when it crossed the center line and collided head on with a Mitsubishi Galant driving east.
Both drivers were trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated.
The driver of the Lumina, 48 year old Tonya Howe of Allegan, died at the scene. There is no word this morning on the condition of the other driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
