Fire destroys home in Kalamazoo County
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - 4 separate departments were called out to a fire Wednesday morning in Cooper Township.
Crews received a 9-1-1 call around 3:30 in the morning of flames shooting from the roof of a home in the 5900 block of 20th street.
Newschannel 3 has learned the fire originated in a wood stove and burned along the chimney causing extensive damage to the back of the house.
The homeowner was able to escape the house without injury.
