Meijer announces $160M midwest investment
WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Meijer announced on Wednesday that it is investing more than $160 million in several new and remodeled stores in the midwest this year.
Those investments include two new supercenters on the east side of the state, creating 500 full and part-time jobs and four remodel projects, including one in Grand Rapids.
Knapp's Corner on East Beltline is not only being remodeled but has also been picked to test out new design elements.
Enhancements made inside and out, including newer technology, outdoor cafe seating and a Starbucks will be tested at this store and may be considered for future stores.
