1 dead after semi strikes car in Kentwood
KENTWOOD, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One person is dead after a semi collided with a car Saturday morning in Kentwood.
It happened at the intersection of 44th Street and Broadmoor Avenue around 2:35 a.m.
Kentwood Police say that a 25-year-old man was driving eastbound on 44th Street, when he drove through a red light at the intersection.
The semi was traveling northbound on Broadmoor and was unable to stop.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating.
