Sewer overflows in Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) Kalamazoo Department of Public Services personnel were on the scene of a sewer overflow in Kalamazoo Thursday morning.
It happened around 9:00 near 640 Weaver Street. Officials say that about 1,000 gallons of untreated raw sewage came up from a manhole in the street.
Workers had the mess cleaned up shortly before 11:00 a.m.
The cause of the overflow has not been released.
