'God's Kitchen' closed through 25th due to flu epidemic
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Due to the recent flu epidemic, a local soup kitchen is temporarily closing its doors.
God's Kitchen, in Battle Creek, usually serves dinner between Monday and Thursday at the First Baptist Church on East Michigan Avenue.
The kitchen's primary cook came down with the flu, however, so it will be closing.
Organizers say they will re-open on next Monday, February 25th.
