2 parolees arrested in heroin bust

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police have arrested two men after a heroin bust.

The bust happened Wednesday around 7:30am in the 3100 block of Crystal Lane in Oshtemo Township. Officers with KVET received a warrant after receiving tips that drug sales were happening at the home.

Police say they found a large amount of heroin worth over $3,000, several scales, packaging equipment and marijuana.

A 28-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested. He is on parole in Kalamazoo County and had an outstanding warrant for violating his parole. He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, maintaining a drug house and the parole violation.

A 37-year-old Kalamazoo man who was found inside the home was also arrested on a parole violation. Two women in the home, aged 21 and 24, will be facing charges in the near future according to police.
