Medema murder trial enters second day

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A high profile murder trial in Kalamazoo entered its second day on Thursday.

Antonio Livingston is on trial, accused of beating Bob Medema to death.

Medema owned The Emporium antiques shop in downtown Kalamazoo.

Livingston and John Aguilar are charged with killing him, but Livingston is the first to stand trial.

Thursday's testimony revolved around the crime scene and how Medema died.

A crime scene technician took the stand to show pictures of the scene.

He is an expert in blood spatter analysis and explained to jurors that Medema was hit with an object at least three times.

He says it was probably the baseball bat found lying next to him.

He also explained that Medema's feet were tied with a cord when he was hit and killed.

The trial will continue on Friday.
