Woman arrested after low-speed chase, allegedly 'super-drunk'

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A woman is waking up behind bars this morning after leading police on a slow chase through Paw Paw Township.

The 39-year-old woman kept driving for about 2 miles after police tried to pull her over on Saturday.

She never drove faster than 45 miles per hour on Red Arrow Highway.

Investigators say she told them she couldn't stop because she needed to get her dog home.

They say her blood-alcohol level was 0.26, more than three times the legal limit.

Her dog was turned over to animal control.
