Man winds up hospitalized after trying to stop man who stole his wallet

WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police in Wyoming are looking for a man involved in a robbery that put a 47-year-old man in the hospital.

On Wednesday night police responded to the 1900 block of Burlingame where they found a man lying in the street with injuries that required hospitalization.

Investigation revealed that the victim had been chasing a suspect who had just stolen his wallet. The victim was attempting to stop the suspect from fleeing the scene in a vehicle and had jumped on the hood of that vehicle.

The victim was thrown from the hood as the suspect fled.

Police say the suspect is an African American male in his 20s who was driving a white, four-door sedan.
