Man arrested in school threat due in court

HASTINGS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Barry County man who was arrested after school threats last week has been arraigned on unrelated drugs and weapons charges.

M-Live is reporting 50-year-old Michael Bourdo of Orangeville was arraigned Monday.

He's charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance and a count of possession of a firearm by a felon and felony firearm.

Police say there was no real danger to schools, but the scare still caused increased security and lock-downs at schools in Barry, Allegan and Kalamazoo Counties.
