Underwear Bash looks to help homeless
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A local company is asking you to help provide a basic need to the homeless Thursday night.
The “Underwear Bash" is being held at Old Dog Tavern to celebrate one year for a local public relations firm and to help provide something very simple for those in need: Underwear.
"A lot of people don't think about the fact that underwear is one of those basic tongs that we pull or of a draw, we buy when we need to replace, but new underwear is actually a luxury for a lot of people in our community so we want to be able to do something about that,” said Rick Chambers.
The Underwear Bash is Thursday night at Old Dog Tavern in Kalamazoo from 4:00 to 6:00.
Those who come are asked to bring one pack of new men's, women's or children's underwear.
Each pack will get you a dollar off of food and drinks.
The event is open to the public the donations will go to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
