4 Arrested following heroin busts in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Four people are behind bars Wednesday morning following a pair of heroin raids in Kalamazoo and more arrests could be coming.

Officers from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team executed search warrants in the 800 block of Hawley Street and the 1400 block East Main Street.
 
Four suspects were arrested at the home on Hawley after investigators found heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.

A 54-year-old male resident was arrested for maintaining a drug house, a 32-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin, a 24-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and heroin and maintaining a drug house and a 23-year-old female was arrested for maintaining a drug house and possession of marijuana.

All suspects were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.

Investigators say there may be also be arrests pending after a raid on the home on East Main.

During the execution of the search warrant 20 baggies of heroin were located inside the residence along with a quantity of marijuana.

A 22-year-old Kalamazoo female resident was located inside. Another suspect, a 36-year-old Kalamazoo man, was not present during the raid but charges will be sought against him as well.
