Hunt continues for Paw Paw abduction suspects

PAW PAW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Investigators are looking for two men who allegedly tried to abduct a woman in her 40s on Saturday night.

Police say that two men in a dark blue car approached the victim, asking if she needed a ride home.

She said no, and they left, but minutes later, they came back, and this time the passenger made a move.

"At that time, he opened up the door and tried to grab the victim," said Paw Paw Police Chief Eric Marshall. "The victim kicked the door shut; she believes maybe on his arm or shoulder."

Chief Marshall says the woman was at the Sportsman's bar when she went to the parking lot to smoke, an area that he says is generally safe.

"We need to get to the bottom of it one way or another," Chief Marshall said. "We're a small village; we're a safe village, and we don't want to see these kinds of things happen."

Investigators released a sketch of the victim as well.

He is described as a white male in his mid-to-late 40s with sandy blonde shoulder length hair and long sideburns.

They say at the time, he was wearing large, round glasses.

They hope that someone can help identify him.

At this point, police say they've gotten a few tips, but they have no idea who the men are, or where they might be.
