Bond upheld for Comstock Park student accused of threats

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 17-year-old Comstock Park student, accused of making threats against several other students, was in court Wednesday on a bond hearing.

Bond of $500,000 for Benjamin Malachino was upheld, and in addition, he was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation.

According to police, Malachino threatened a female classmate via text message that he was going to sexually assault her.

In addition, it is alleged that Malachino also said that he would lock down the school and kill several other students, two from Comstock Park and one from Kenowa Hills.

Malachino has also been ordered to not have any contact with Comstock Park High School, or his intended victim.
