First responders train for extractions in Portage
PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Dozens of first responders from across West Michigan are undergoing emergency extrication training.
Wednesday night, emergency responders were able to practice extrication with the most up-to-date equipment, along with current vehicle technology to produce safe and timely extrication.
Carstar provided first responders with 5 cars to practice on, giving them experience that could be the difference between life and death for patients.
40 first responders took part in the training.
