10 inches of snow in Chicago leads to flight delays

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - While West Michigan missed the brunt of Tuesday's winter storm, they're digging out in Chicago.

The windy city got hit with 10 inches of snow.

That storm is now pushing toward the east coast. It is expected to dump a lot of snow on the mid-Atlantic region as well.

This is causing a lot of headaches for air travelers. Hundreds of flights have been canceled from Chicago to Washington, D.C.

So far no flights are impacted at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport or at Ford Airport in Grand Rapids.
