Wyoming couple attacked with knife and hatchet

WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A stand-off in Wyoming is over after a stabbing Wednesday morning and police have arrested the victims' daughter.

Wyoming police had a home on Jefferson and Freedom Street surrounded for several hours Wednesday morning.

Police say a couple reported being attacked by their own adult daughter.

Police say it appears they were attacked with a knife and hatchet.

We're learning the male victim has been treated and released while his wife is undergoing surgery.

Wyoming Police say they were alerted to the situation just before 1AM when the couple approached an officer who was dealing with an unrelated traffic stop.

A family member has identified the couple as Pam and Skip Clark. They say that their 28-year-old daughter, Amber Wilson, is the suspect.

Police eventually tracked down Wilson at a home in the area of 36th Street and Clyde Park Ave. where she was arrested.

Wilson faces two counts of attempted murder. She is currently in the Kent County Jail.
