Parts of Vicksburg, Schoolcraft to be without power Monday night.

VICKSBURG, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Indiana Michigan Power announced Monday that a fire will result in about 7 hours without power for around 4,500 customers.

Community Relations Manager Barry Visel told Newschannel 3 that a transmission pole north of Schoolcraft caught fire on Monday, necessitating a shutdown from around 5:00 p.m. until around midnight so crews could replace the pole.

Visel estimated that around 4,500 IMP customers in the Schoolcraft and Vicksburg area would be without power Monday night, and that the outage could include some Midwest Energy customers, as a result of shared equipment.
