Shots fired outside Crickett Club in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police responded to a shots fired call at the Crickett Club in Battle Creek early Saturday morning.

According to Detective Sgt. Jim Martens, a suspect left the building and fired shots in an unknown direction.

An officer happened to be nearby, and found the suspect who had put the gun into a car.

A person inside the car reportedly handed it to another person also in the car, in an attempt to hide the weapon.

Det. Sgt. Martens says that all three were arrested and the handgun was recovered.

No one was injured.

UPDATE: Initial reports identified the location as the Crockett Club. Obviously, this mistake has been corrected. Thanks to those who informed us of the error.
