Police looking into multiple stranger danger cases
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are looking into multiple cases where students were approached by strangers hoping to entice them into cars.
In one case, an unknown suspect driving a black vehicle with tinted windows attempted to pick up an 18-year-old student at around 6:50 as she waited for her bus to school.
She told police she was running late for her bus when a white male in a newer model black vehicle with tinted windows tried to pick her up.
She ran home, where her mother called police.
In another case, a female student was walking home from Franklin Elementary around 1:45 p.m., when she says a man in a silver or gra regular cab pickup truck stopped on the side of the road and tried to pick her up.
The girl ran away, got home, and told her mother.
The suspect in this case was described as an older white male, with gray hair and a short gray beard.
The cases do not appear to be related in any way.
