Man shoots himself in the hand
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Newaygo man is in jail after police say he shot himself during a Family Team meeting.
It happened Monday afternoon at 800 Watertown Road.
Police say the 34-year-old man was left the meeting abruptly, went to his vehicle and shot himself in the hand.
Police tell Newschannel 3 his brother took the gun away from him and called for help.
The man was treated at the hospital and then taken to the Mecosta County Jail
