GR man faces murder charges in veteran death
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Grand Rapids man is facing murder charges, after he was accused of beating a Vietnam War veteran to death.
29-year-old Eric Sear was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder and larceny.
On Sunday, police say he assaulted 69-year-old Douglas Barry at a halfway house on Adams Street in Grand Rapids.
Barry later died in the hospital as a result of a head injury.
