Off-ramp re-opens after semi crash

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An off ramp on I-196 was shut down Monday after a semi truck roll over.

The truck rolled over on the northbound ramps onto 109th Street near South Haven.

The ramp was re-opened Monday afternoon.

The crash happened a little before 6:00 in the morning. Fire crews on scene tell us the truck misjudged the curve on the ramp and ended up flipping over and skidding off the ramp.

The truck was carrying 5,000 gallons of anti-freeze. None of it was leaking and there was no concern over leaks.

The company that owns the truck had to bring another one in to pump all the liquid out in order to get that semi back up on its wheels.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He is expected to be okay.
