Van Buren deputies make multiple meth busts overnight
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Van Buren County deputies were busy on Monday cleaning up a few meth labs.
Deputies say around 9:00 p.m. Monday, they pulled over a car on Exchange and Glover Street in Gobles.
In the course of that traffic stop, the deputy realized there was several one-pot methamphetamine vessels and gas generators in the vehicle.
The methamphetamine lab components were collected and disposed of by the Van Buren County Narcotics Bureau.
The 53-year-old driver was arrested.
About an hour later, deputies were called to a home where they confiscated more one-pot meth labs and generators.
They got a call to respond to a domestic assault at a home in the 300 block of East Main Street.
Deputies say the 29-year-old woman on the scene appeared to be under the influence and agreed to a search of the residence.
Deputies found meth-making materials, as well as a 2-year-old girl.
They called Child Protective Services, and the woman was later taken into custody.
Later, a 24-year-old man who fled the scene was also arrested.
