Man sentenced to life in Niles double killing
CASSOPOLIS, Mich. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2010 slayings couple in their southwestern Michigan home.
Keith Lintz of Niles was given the punishment during a hearing Friday.
He earlier was convicted of murder in the deaths of Carolyn and John Tarwacki on Feb. 5, 2010, at their Niles-area home.
During his trial, circumstantial evidence was key after several witnesses said Lintz talked about his involvement in the deaths.
The victims worked at a music company in Stevensville, supplying and maintaining instruments for music educators throughout Berrien and Cass counties.
