UPDATED: Man accused of supplying gun in rampage receives over 5 year sentence
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The man accused of supplying the gun used in one of West Michigan's deadliest shooting rampages will serve more than 5 years in prison.
Joseph Krul entered a guilty plea back in June. He was sentenced Friday for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Police say he gave Roderick Dantzler the gun he used to kill seven people in July of 2011.
Dantzler then terrorized the city of Grand Rapids for hours, leading police on a high-speed chase before holing up with hostages and taking his own life.
Krul was sentenced to 63 months in prison, or, just over 5 years.
