Recall effort planned for Alamo Twp. Supervisor
ALAMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Friday morning we're hearing from the Alamo Township Supervisor who is under fire, accused of lewd conduct.
Jennifer Buttons filed a police report saying after a meeting in September, Supervisor Lou Conti fondled himself while they were talking.
Many people in the township are now calling for his resignation.
Thursday night Conti met with board members in a closed door meeting.
He didn't want to speak on camera, but did say quote... "Ms. Buttons has initiated a false complaint against me in which the sheriff department has investigated and found no wrong doing on my part. I am considering a lawsuit against Ms. Buttons for false accusations, defamation and harassment."
Conti was elected as the township supervisor last November.
Many people in the township now plan to start a recall effort.
