Teen due in court over stabbing
KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 17-year-old accused of stabbing another teen is expected to face charges in court Friday.
Police say Sam King stabbed a 15-year-old boy in Ada Township multiple times on Wednesday.
We're told it was the result of a confrontation between the two teens that turned violent at home on Witherbee Drive.
Sources say the victim went to confront King, who had been bullying him.
Probable cause documents say King and Smith had several phone conversations and arranged a meeting at King's house. During the meeting King produced a four-inch folding knife. Smith was stabbed several times. The most severe injury was a three inch deep wound to the abdomen. King admitted to investigators he got the knife to harm Smith.
King is set to be arraigned Friday on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent.
