Vigil for Sturgis murder victim
STURGIS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Family and friends of a Sturgis man found murdered at his office building are preparing a final farewell.
A candlelight vigil to honor David Locey is set to take place this weekend.
It will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 at the Free Church Park in Sturgis.
The man police suspect is his killer was arraigned Thursday on an embezzlement charge.
Prosecutors accuse 36-year-old Andy James Brown of stealing more than $100,000.
Newschannel 3 has learned Brown was an accountant who worked with Locey. One of his clients says on Tuesday they received a letter and a bill from Loceys office.
But they say they called the firm and told them they made payments directly to Andy Brown.
The business owners planned to talk with Locey on Wednesday, the morning he was found shot to death.
