Benton Harbor resident being questioned after woman's death
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We are learning that a person is being questioned in the death of a Kalamazoo woman.
According to police, a 28-year-old Benton Harbor resident has been identified as being the last person to see the woman alive.
This investigation began with a 911 call that was placed from a home in the 1400 block of North Church Street Sunday afternoon.
The caller stated there had been a possible homicide. When police arrived they found the victim unresponsive.
So far they're not saying how she died.
Residents in the area say the woman lived in the home with her adult daughter.
"A young lady ran out of the house and she was screaming that her mother got killed, that someone killed her mom. Everybody's a little shocked that this happened on this street in this house that nobody knows about," said neighbor Aaliyah Buchanan.
There have been no arrests in this case, but a 28-year old from Benton Harbor is being questioned.
