WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES & WARNINGS

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES remain for Kalamazoo, Van Buren, St. Joe, Branch, Allegan, Barry, Ottawa, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, and Newaygo counties until 7 AM Friday.  Lake effect snow, heavy at times, drops 4" to 8+" of snow through Friday morning.  Approaching 10" or more are possible in some cities.  Westerly winds gusting to 35 mph create blowing and drifting snow, especially in open areas.   

Ionia, Eaton, and Calhoun counties have been added to our existing WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES; expiration time is 7 PM tonight.  Snowfall totals of 1" to 4+" are possible.  

WINTER STORM WARNINGS remain in Berrien, Cass counties until 4 AM Friday for in excess of 6" of snow.  As of this point, snow has been sparse; WARNINGS may be revised.

Three people shot in downtown Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a report of a fight and shots fired in the parking lot of Shakespeare's Pub just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

Shortly after, additional gunshots were reported at the Shell gas station on West Michigan Avenue.

Public Safety officers found two people shot in the Shell parking lot.

A 49 year-old man suffered non life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to Borgess Hospital.

The second victim is a 28 year-old man who was shot in the pelvis region and ankle. He was transported to Bronson Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

A third victim, a 24 year-old man arrived at Bronson Hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg, arm and back. He is listed in stable condition and the injuries are considered non life threatening.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years of age, short build wearing all back clothing and an orange hat. The suspect fled the scene in a black midsize vehicle.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
