Suspect due in court in Dahlinger murder case

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man charged in connection with the murder of a West Michigan businessman is expected in court Thursday.

A judge will decide if there is enough evidence to send Danyell Thomas to trial.

Thomas and a woman, Dijana Killic, are accused of killing 56-year-old John Dahlinger during a robbery attempt at his Grand Rapids home in October.

An autopsy revealed he was beaten and shot in the head.

Thomas is charged with five felonies, including homicide and open murder.

Two weeks ago Kilic waived her preliminary hearing, meaning she will go straight to trial.

She faces one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
