WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

Crews responding to house fire in Paw Paw

PAW PAW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Crews responded Thursday afternoon to a house fire in Paw Paw.

Dispatchers confirmed to Newschannel 3 at around 4:45 that crews were fighting a fire in the 600 block of East Main in the Village of Paw Paw.

The fire chief says firefighters were able to save some Christmas presents at the home.

He says crews contained the fire to the attic and that the homeowner told him he'd had some electrical problems recently.

The family is being put up at a local motel Thursday night while the investigation into the fire continues.
