GM recalling 370,000 trucks
DETROIT (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - General Motors is recalling 370,000 trucks because of a fire risk.
The affected models include the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size trucks. GM says the vehicles have problems with their software that could lead to the overheating of exhaust components and cause a fire.
Eight fires have been confirmed, but no one has been injured. Drivers will be contacted about the recall by mail. In the meantime, GM urges owners of those recalled models to avoid leaving their trucks to idle unattended.
