LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Michigan's first wolf hunt in decades is now in the book and hunters fell well short of their limit.

The Department of Natural Resources says hunters killed 23 wolves this season. The department limit for the hunt was 43.

Officials say cold weather probably kept several hunters indoors.
