Boiler recall underway due to possible CO dangers

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A massive boiler recall is underway Thursday night.

About 26,000 gas-fired hot water boilers are being recalled because of carbon monoxide dangers.

U.S. Boiler says there's an air-pressure switch on the units that might not switch off if a vent gets blocked, which could send excessive amounts of carbon monoxide into the home.

The boilers were sold between December of 2005 and February of 2013.

Consumers can call the manufacturer to schedule a free safety inspection and repair.
