Kalamazoo to honor Bill Wright Saturday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) On Saturday the community will come together to honor the life of Kalamazoo businessman and philanthropist Bill Wright.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Valley Family Church in Portage.

After the funeral the community is invited to participate in a last lap in Wrights honor.

The 54-year-old Wright is being remembered for giving back to the community. He raised money to help abused and neglected children throughout West Michigan through his Wright for Kids foundation.

The family has requested privacy during the funeral, cameras will not be allowed inside or outside the church, but Newschannel 3 will be there for the victory lap and we will also be taking a look back at Bill Wrights impact on the community.
