The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

Woman in critical condition after Calhoun Co. crash

CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One woman is in critical condition and two others are seriously hurt after a crash on icy roads in Calhoun County.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department told Newschannel 3 Wednesday that an Albion woman lost control this morning on Michigan Avenue in Sheridan Township, slid across the center line, and slammed into a Marshall woman's car.

A passenger in that car became trapped.

Rescuers had to cut her out of the vehicle and airlift her to a local hospital, where she's listed in critical condition.

The two drivers are currently in stable condition.
