Family holds blood drive in memory of W. Mich. 6-year-old

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Thursday night, people are gathering together to donate blood in honor of a West Michigan 6-year-old.

Kevin Linder, of Paw Paw, lost his battle with cancer this past October.

His family started hosting blood drives right after his diagnosis in 2010, and now, they are keeping the tradition going in order to help others who are fighting cancer.

People gathered at Paw Paw Early Elementary School from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 Thursday evening, and the donors even include Kevin's mother Kelly.

In all, 61 people registered to donate Thursday.
