Man, woman from Galesburg plead not guilty in dental office theft

PAW PAW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A man and woman from Galesburg have pleaded not guilty to stealing items from a dental office.

It's an update to a story we first reported on Wednesday.

Emily Griffin and Kyle Hughes are behind bars in Van Buren County Friday night, accused of stealing items from an Antwerp Township dental office near Paw Paw, after a friend invited them in.

Police believe a prescription pad and the doctor's signature stamp were stolen, then used to call in prescriptions to Kalamazoo-area pharmacies for their friends.

Right now, Griffin and Hughes are being held at the Van Buren County Jail on the charges of larceny in a building.

Griffin was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
