The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids maintians WIND ADVISORIES for Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties until 10 PM.  45-50 mph gusts are verifying and may create some power outages, downed trees, or branches.  

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES start at 4 PM and last until 4 PM Tuesday in Ottawa, Kent, Muskegon, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, and Montcalm counties.  Snowfall may exceed 6" through late Tuesday.  Blowing and drifting snow is likely.

Stolen vehicle in prison escape found in Shipshewana

SHIPSHEWANA, Indiana (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The LaGrange County Sherriff's Department says that the stolen vehicle used in Michael Elliot's prison escape has been located in Shipshewana, Indiana.

Police have asked nearby Westview Schools to go into lock-down.

The vehicle was found abandoned in the back parking lot of an apartment complex on North State Street. Police are going door to door at the complex, looking for him.

A state trooper on scene says they will be walking kids home from school or will see them to their buses.
