WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A fugitive wanted on felony warrants out of both Arkansas and Texas was tracked down in Michigan.

Michigan State Police caught up to 38-year-old John Nicholas Cote on Thursday afternoon in Cadillac.

They found out he's been living in West Michigan for the last 18 months.

Cote is a parole absconder from Arkansas, and is wanted by police in Johnson County, Texas for felony assault.

Police say Cote has been using the stolen identity of a Texas truck driver to work in a factory in Grand Rapids.

He is currently being held in Wexford County, awaiting extradition.
